Yesterday during our work Christmas party we sang a lot of Christmas songs but also some non-Christmas ones. I've fallen in love with this song immediately when I heard it. It's definitely my current new fav!

Brene Brown (whom I adore and own all her books) has posted this video on her FB page today. From the very first moment when I heard the song and focused on the lyrics, I just can't get it out from my head. Hope you enjoy it too.

It is such a great reminder to all of us to be brave. I know I will use the lyrics while educating my kids in the future for sure. One has to be brave to have a happy life.

hello my old heart

When I have a spare time, I love to watch Parenthood. I really enjoy the stories of different members of this big family. Another thing which I love about this show is the music.  I always discover new (to me) awesome artists. This song was on today's show, it's really a good one.

I heard this song so many times on radio while driving and I always wanted to look it up once I get home. And of course I always forgot to do so. Patrik had his friend over today and they "played" our two guitars. When his dad came to pick him up, they were still in the playing mode so he asked us if we've seen Gotye, five people playing one guitar. Now I finally know the song's name and also who is playing/ singing it. All I can say is that they are pretty amazing!

favorite songs of this week

This is Patrik's favorite song at the moment. Both kids love Ninjago (not just the lego but the cartoons as well). The song is quite catchy so we dance and sing to it together. And as amateur photographer I have to admit that I love the picture processing while they play in the garage.

I hear kids singing  We are young by Fun all the time, they love this song. I think they heard a part of it in some commercial and then Patrik googled it. Katrin was singing it and it was so cute. I always leave it play from youtube but turn off the picture (switch tabs in the firefox) because I think the video isn't appropriate for such  little kids. I personally love this version of the song much better, these kids are amazing!

And this is my favorite song of this week - Drive by by Train.  I was dancing to it while making pizza for dinner tonight. And yes, Alice, the drummer is cute.

Tara Whitney posted about this song by WALK THE MOON on her blog earlier today and after listening to it, I've immediately fallen in love with this summer-y, full of joy song. This is the perfect song for happy summer days.
It makes me wish a little bit to take time back and be in my university years again and just having fun with friends during summer. Those sweet young years...
